The Color Blue & God Made Light

The past two weeks we have been learning the color blue.  We made blue octopuses and blue birds.  We learned that the sky is blue and checked out who was wear blue on their clothes each day. We also learned that on Day 1 God made light.  We created a black earth with yellow tissue paper as the light that God created.

We have been working hard during our centers time.  We strung pool noodles onto a jump rope and sorted color discs on our color mats.

Some of our favorite songs are "Bringing Home a Baby Bumble Bee,"  "Animal Action," and "In Right, Out Right."  We enjoyed books about Blue and his clues this week and a book about what God created.  We are having so much fun at school, and Miss Liz, Mrs. Jill, and I are loving getting to know all of their personalities!

Learning the Color Red & Playing with our New Friends

We have had a great start to the new school year!  Everyone is getting to know their new routines and are having fun playing with their new friends. We are learning the color red, a lot of new songs, God made everything; even me, and how to walk down the hallway with "bubbles" in our mouths.

During our center times, we have made red ladybugs, little red hens, red apple prints, and our hand print with a red heart in the center.  We have played with oatmeal in our sensory table, red playdoh, and bubbles.

Everyone loves to play outside and we are taking full advantage of the great weather we have had.  Some of our favorite things to play outside is driving our school bus, going down the slide, and playing in the house. We have even discovered some bugs on the playground!!

Mrs. Jill, Miss Liz, and I are so proud of all our kids so far. Everyone is doing a great job leaving their moms and dads. We have seen great progress in the last couple of week.  We know we are going to have a great year, and are so thankful you share them with us twice a week!!
